One of the agitators, Akhil Jasrotia, said, “Last Friday, we warned the college authorities that if our exam date sheet is not extended till Monday, then we will block road and stage agitation here”,

“They thought we won’t do anything, but the truth is we have staged a protest earlier and now we’re also demonstrating one” he added.

“We will intensify our agitation and will go to block highway in Kalibari, if in one hour our meeting is not fixed with ‘Controller of examinations’ and DC sir”, he warned.

“We were admitted by the college in the month of december last year, then in the begining of January vacations were declared, then college held many events, which took a toll on our classes”, he said.

“Our college and staff is with us, but the ‘University of Jammu’ is not paying heed to our matter”, he remarked.

“Our classes have not been taken regularly from previous one month and  our syllabus is pending”, a girl student said.

“We should be given time to prepare for the exams at least or else we will fail, our parents will think we’re not studying”, she added.
