Muslim Husband-Wife seen playing ‘Shiva-Parvati’ in Jammu

Jammu: A Muslim couple from Jammu who are husband and wife have become talk of the town these days in Jammu, when they were spotted among several devotees playing as Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati on the occasion of Shivaratri in Jammu.

On the occasion of  Maha Shivaratri a Shobha Yatra was commenced from Shri Ranbireshwar Temple in which the duo took part as Lord Shiva and deity Parvati, which finally culminated at Shri Ranbireshwar Temple in Shalamar, Jammu.

Interacting with the media, Dressed as Lord Shiva Roshni’s husband, said, “I feel very happy to play Shivji on the occasion of Shivaratri as it comes only once in a year”.

“I want to say that everyone should play this role and I don’t care what people say about me and my wife is playing goddess Parvati” he added.

Talking to the media, Roshni dressed as Parvati, said, “My name is Roshni and I’m feeling glad to dress as Parvati, this is the first time I’m playing this role”.

“There are no issues in our family regarding me playing as goddess Parvati, but only our father-in-law don’t support us because he didn’t like us playing Shiva & Parvati”, she added.

“We are playing these roles with our consent and we are Muslims, we feel very glad acting as Shiva and Parvati. We don’t care about society’s remarks”, she said.
