Police busts human trafficking in Jammu

Jammu: Jammu Police yesterday unearthed a human trafficking racket from Jammu Bus stand and arrested four people.
As per report, Acting upon the inputs, the Jammu police arrested four accused Rohingyas involved in human trafficking by means of procuring the girls from Myanmar (Burma) and exploiting them in Kashmir.

The AGDP along with DIG, SSP Jammu, conducted a raid on specific information at Bus stand Jammu and recovered five minor girls and four human traffickers.

The Jammu police has said that the four human traffickers which includes two women and two men and the five victim girls were brought from Myanmar for 5-10 thousand and were to be sold in Kashmir for one lakh each.
The victims were brought from Myanmar and from Bengal to Delhi they were taken to Jammu and from there they were supposed to be sold in Kashmir, the report said.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Meanwhile, the rescued victim Rohingya girls have been shifted to Child Protection Centre Jammu.
