In a shameful incident, a dancer was gang-raped by six men in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district.
The dancer was sexually assaulted by the accused after she performed at a property dealer’s birthday party in the area.
The police registered an FIR basis on the complaint filed by the dancer.
The gang-rape survivor told the police that her team of three dancers was hired to perform at the property dealer’s birthday party for Rs 6,000.
However, as one of the dancers was leaving the event after finishing her performance, six men abducted her in a car and gang-raped her in a nearby jungle.

The accused fled after gang-raping the dancer. All the accused are absconding. Unnao Police have launched a manhunt to nab the gang-rape accused.
The complainant further alleged that she had first gone to Jajmau police, but the cops did not take any action. Later, she approached the Kotwali police in Unnao Sadar.
Acting on her complaint, the police booked the accused under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code.
Superintendent of Police (Unnao), Siddharth Meena, conformed that the complainant was sent for medical examination and police have started a manhunt to nab the accused.
