Woman looted Rs 2.7 lakh from man on pretext of providing govt job in Jammu

Jammu: A woman allegedly duped a man of Rs 2.7 lakh on the pretext of providing govt to him in Jammu.
The accused has been identified as Kouser Jan resident of Rainawari, Srinagar.

“I know that she is currently residing in Jalaka Mohalla in govt quarters and her husband runs a shop there”, Khan said.

“She assured me of securing a job at Secretariat and demanded Rs 2.5 lakh for the same, a boy namely Sadiq Hussain who lives in my ward was familiar with Kouser and he told me that she will provide the job for the money”, the victim Mr Shabir Ahmed Khan said.
“I sold my 1 kanal of land to pay them the sum, but it has been one and a half year she has not returned the money”, he added.
“I have been given seven cheques from her, but all of them were dishonoured by the bank”, he said.
“When I intensified my demand of asking the money she told me that she will commit suicide if I disturbed her”, he said.
“My family has told me to leave the house”, Khan added.
“I have registered a complaint at Sidhra police station but they got no success. It’s been three months of submission of my complaint at ACB Jammu”, he remarked.
“I even went to the secretariat but they told me that no woman namely ‘kouser’ works here”, he said.
