Traffic Police fines Police inspector for not wearing seat belts in Jammu
Jammu: The Jammu Traffic Police in a special naka on Tuesday near Chowadi challaned a police inspector of J&K police for not wearing seat belts while driving.
The report said that Special Magistrate Traffic Jammu Rajni Sharma conducted a big traffic naka to supervise the defaulters, who don’t wear seat belts while driving.

The locals have been complaining that the vehicle operators who come from Chowadi road are taking a short turn avoiding Sainik colony road, where they are supposed to ply, the report said.

“We are fined by traffic police as we were not wearing seat belts. My father is sitting with me, he is a police inspector and he said that we are at fault”, Muzzafar Iqbal who was fined by police said.
“The Special magistrate Rajni Sharma mam also heard my father when he said that we should pay fine as we violated traffic rule and on hearing that mam has relaxed our fine to Rs 300 because fine is Rupees 1000”, he added.
“We have accepted our mistake and we didn’t wore seat belts and we didn’t follow traffic rules. I told my son to pay the challan and we should obey traffic rules”, Iqbal’s father said.
