E-Rickshaw Union of this district on Sunday appealed to the Government to fix the rates and routes of the e-rickshaws.
“The Government should fix routes and rates of e-rickshaws so that general public doesn’t face any inconvenience while travelling in the electric vehicles,” Tejinder Pal Singh (Aman), Chairman, e-Rickshaw Union said in a meeting here.
Singh said that Government should also come up with a strong and concrete policy for the e-rickshaws commuting in Jammu District.
“In case our issues are not addressed at the District level, we will approach the higher authorties in the times to come,” Singh further said.
He also appealed the e-rickshaw owners to avoid overcharging the commuters.
Gurpreeet Singh Awal, Harvinder Singh Mehta, Vippan Singh, Vikram Malhotra, Major Singh, Atul Sharma among other e-rickshaw owners also attended the meeting.
