Oil Tanker Crushes Man To Death in Jammu

Jammu: An oil tanker today crushed a man driving a bike in Panama chowk, Jammu on Tuesday.

The accident occurred at Panama chowk and the dead body has been sent to the GMC, Bakshi Nagar, Morgue.

The deceased has been identified as Joginder Kumar, 25, son of Rajit Raj r/o Khara Madhana, Samba, Jammu.

The victim was heading towards Narwal and met with accident at Panama chowk.

The bike which bears registration number (JK02DB2370) is registered in the name of Sunil Kumar as the RC claims found from the scene of incident, the report said.

While the Driving licence (DL) procured from the victim’s pocket bears the name of the victim ‘Joginder Kumar’.

“He was coming from wrong lane and the oil tanker bearing regd number (JK02BA9637) was on its lane and it ran over the rider all of a sudden”, A local eye-witness of the incident told the media.

“The oil tanker’s driver didn’t ran away after his vehicle ran over the biker’s head, but some other person might have escaped from here, after committing this felony”, he added.

“He was coming from the wrong lane and he was trying to cross the foot path, in-between he fell and he came under the tanker”, Driver of the oil tanker AmarJeet Singh said.
