Cyber fraudster through ads on Facebook duped locals of Rs 98K in Jammu

A Cyber fraudster allegedly posing as a CISF officer duped three people in Jammu of Rs 98,000 on the pretext of selling them furniture at cheap rates on FB through a advertisement, yesterday.

As per report, the alleged CISF officer namely Aniket Vijay had claimed that he had been transferred to another state and wanted to sell off his belongings such as a washing machine, A.C, fridge, sofa set, Almirah, LED Tv, and furniture at cheaper rates.

While the victims came in touch with the man through an advertisement on Facebook.

The person identified himself as Aniket Vijay. He alleged that he wanted to sell the products as he was transferred to another state, adding his belongings were at the airport

The  three victims made an advance payment of Rs 50,000, 18,000 and Rs 30,000 following which the accused told them that he is at airport in Jammu and the goods will be deliver to their homes.

Later, when the goods didn’t reached to the victims they realized that they have been looted.
