Meet Bank Manager, a Mother & Wife from Jammu who secured 36th Rank in JKAS

Motherhood requires round-the-clock attendance and a woman can’t take any break from that.

It is tougher for a ‘mom’ who also works as a Bank Manager in PNB Bank(Jammu), however,  Sahila Sanson took a tough step and jumped into one of the coveted JKAS exam of J-K and thus secured 36th Rank in it.

Mrs Sahila Sanson hails from Nagbani, Domana area of Jammu.

Talking to the media, Sahila, said, “I have done my schooling from Presentation Convent School, Gandhi Nagar & CSC from GCET, Jammu”.

“In 2015, I joined as PO in Punjab National Bank (PNB). In 2017, I took the onus of seriously preparing the JKAS to clear it”, Sahila said.

“It is my 2nd attempt as in my first I succumbed in interview”, she said.

“It was really a tedious & taxing excursion for me, because after marriage things become difficult to handle. But with the support of my family,  in-laws & God’s grace I finally cracked it”, Sahila remarked.

“Both smart & hard work is crucial to clear JKAS. I want to suggest please devout your quality time for this exam”, she said.

“I have a suggestion for working professionals that they have to give their weekends for this exam and avoid social media & mental strength is also crucial in this long journey”, Sahila added.

“My family has always supported, but my in-laws wholeheartedly helped me for preparing JKAS”, Sahila told media.

“The females of a family must support their daughters like a backbone cause before marriage mother stands with us in everything & after wedding in-laws plays a huge role in our growth”, she added.

Mr Ranjeet Samson, Sahila’s Husband, an officer in Belt forces, said, “It is big thing for us, we were both preparing for JKAS but I couldn’t make it”.

“But Sahila never lost focused and finally cleared this exam & I joined belt forces”, Mr Ranjeet said.

“The main thing is that my wife is working woman & at dusk she comes home & she also have to look after our baby”, he remarked.

“This is a strenous work but she handled it. Dreams don’t work unless we do”, Mr Ranjeet said.

“If a wife wants to attain something huge, we should religiously help her, please encourage your wives in their goals”, he added.

Mr Raghveer Singh, Sahila’s father-in-law & a military veteran, said, “It is such a delight for our family, village & block that Sahila passed this exam”.

“This happiness one gets only after hard labour and today we got fruits of our labour”, Mr Raghveer said.

“Its been four years & Sahila’s devotion for JKAS is such that no one knows her in our ward. Now, everybody is enquring who is this girl who became a  KAS officer”, he remarked.

“Sahila has never attended anyone function in these years & she never met any relatives and contributed her all the time for KAS”, Mr Raghveer said.

“We all supported her & treated her like a daughter. I have two daughters one is studying & the latter is a doctor. But Sahila is the dearest of all”, he added.

“She is touching the sky today because of us”, Mr Raghveer remarked.

“My father was a ‘Veterinary Surgeon’ & in 2016 we lost him. It was his dream  to make me a administrator and I fulfilled it. He groomed me for it right from the childhood”, Sahila said.

“In our vicinity at Nagbani, there was an KAS officer several years ago, who, now I think has become chairman of JKSSB”, Sahila added.

“My father used to give uncle’s instance for motivation that I have to become a KAS officer like him”, she said.

“Whenever we used to walk near his home, my father used to say that I have to clear JKAS and it’s his blessings which helped me in attaining this height today”, Sahila added.

“My daughter-in-law has added stars to our name and brought fame for all of us”, Sahila’s Mother-in-law said.

“I’m a voracious reader & like to read books. I love to dance and when I use to come from my office for 10-15 mins, I shake a leg in my room”, An elated Sahila told media.

“It really relieves me in de-stressing & is healthy for body”, Sahila said.
