Patriotic spirit, festivity mark Republic Day celebrations in Jammu
Jammu: The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with great fervor and patriotism in Jammu as the day witnessed impressive March pasts and variety cultural programs featuring patriotic songs, folk dance and music at MA stadium in Jammu, today.
The locals were also seen observing the Republic day showing great exuberance and zeal, the people unfurled tricolors, sang National anthem, National song, raised ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ slogans, while celebrating the constitution day.
As part of the Republic Day celebrations, BJP office unit at Kachi Chawni also hoisted the tricolor. Sweets were also distributed among the children on this occasion and sung National anthem and raised ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ slogans.

The congress unit of Jammu also observed the Republic day, JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla accompanied by other Congress leaders hoisted the tricolor and sang National anthem, ‘Vande Mataram’ on the occasion.
“We extend our deep regards of this republic day to the people. Our constitution came into existence on this day. We must never forget the martyrs who with their sacrifices forged this nation”, Raman Bhalla said.
“Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar gave this beautiful constitution to us and every govt should work in its ambit providing justice to people and Bharat Jodo Yatra is also based on it”, he added.
