Jammu: Locals stage protest against frequent power cuts
Agitated over unscheduled and frequent power cuts at Ward no.9 in Rajouri, Jammu some ward members held protest demonstration against the Power Development Department, yesterday.
Shouting slogans against the PDD authorities, the protesting people demanded uninterrupted power supply with adequate voltage in their ward.

Speaking to the media, Municipal Councilor of the ward Mr Sanjay Sharma said that unscheduled power cuts have completely paralyzed their routine life.

“The PDD is testing our patience as we have been facing hardships due to power cuts everyday. When winter comes the PDD department increases unscheduled power cuts in our ward”, he said.
“As a people’s representative I want to why there are many outages in my ward. I warn the employees of power dept to refrain from taking many outages in my ward”, he added.
“We will be forced to launch a massive agitation against the authorities in case the power supply remains like this” he warned.
