Girl thief snatched earrings of elderly woman in Jammu

Jammu: A Girl thief snatched gold earrings of an elderly woman and fled the spot near post office street in Subash Nagar, Jammu, yesterday.

As per report, the incident happened when the woman was returning to her home and then a girl offered her help to cross the road, she started following the victim and when she got the opportunity the thief suddenly plucked her earring from her ear.

“At around 5:15pm I was walking back home and then a girl came along with me on pretext  of crossing the road, when we reached in the street near my house she targeted me and plucked my earrings”, the victim elderly woman said.

She added that her earrings was worth of Rupees 18,000 and a partner was also accompanying the burglar girl on a scooty.

“My mother came home in distress and she told us that a girl thief snatched her earrings in our street. The burglars had concealed scooty’s registration. We have filed an FIR in the police station”, Victim’s son said.

“We request the local police to catch the gang of these snatchers. The burglar girl’s partner was hinting the snatcher to pluck the earrings”, he added.
