Jammu: Every year, the natural cave of Vaishno Devi shrine in Trikuta hills is opened for pilgrims after Makar Sankranti.

The old and natural cave of the shrine in Trikuta hills opened from yesterday for pilgrims to pay obeisance, as per report.

The old cave is opened only during January and February when the rush is very less, while for rest of the months, the pilgrims had to pass through newly-constructed caves to reach the sanctum sanctorum.

The cave has been opened for the visiting pilgrims for darshan for some days, the report said.
