Big News for E-Rickshaw Owners
Jammu, Jan 10: The Additional Transport Commissioner (ARTO) Jammu on Tuesday issued an order in which he has asked E-Rickshaw manufactures in Jammu to sell the vehicle only after ensuring the driver knows how to properly operate the vehicle.
The order states that sellers of e-rickshaws can only sell the vehicles to drivers after ensuring the operators undergo a driving training period of ten days, after which E-Rickshaw drivers can get their license from ARTO office.

The order has further stated that if any E-Rickshaw Seller\Driver found not complying with this diktat that person has to face legal action.

Now, it will be mandatory for them to undergo the training after which drivers have to apply online to get a license after a month from ARTO office Jammu and then drive e-rickshaws, the report said.
The order will come in effect from 20th of January and the drivers who haven’t received training should get before 31st March, 2023.
The persons who already owned E-Rickshaws should comply with this order to avoid legal action.
