Soldier shoots self dead at airport
Kashmir, 05, 2023: A soldier allegedly committed suicide at the old air field in central Kashmir’s Budgam district, reports said yesterday.
52-year-old Head constable Malkit Singh allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead using his service rifle at his unit 615 DSC platoon first wing Air force, an official said.

The deceased trooper hailed from District Kapurthala in Punjab.
“His body was first taken to district hospital Budgam for medico legal formalities and from there,
“He was taken to GMC Srinagar with a police party for further formalities”, he said.
“We have taken cognizance of this incident and further investigation has been set into motion”, he added.
