Jammu, January 03, 2023: The Sanatan Dharma Sabha units of Kishtwar, Doda and Bhaderwah gave a bandh call on Tuesday in protest against the gruesome Rajouri terror attacks in which six people have been killed so far by the terrorists at Dangri village of Rajouri.
According to the report, the Sanatan Dharma Sabha units of the aforementioned places today gave a Bandh call to observe complete shutdown in Kishtwar, Doda, Bhaderwah of Jammu region to express their agitation against Rajouri terror attacks and to support the victim families of this felony.
“Along with Sanatan Dharma Sabha, the local Muslim religious organisations also extended their support for the Bandh, the report said.

“Massive protests were held in Rajouri against the killings on Sunday and Monday, with people holding the administration responsible for failing to ensure security”, as per a report.

Yesterday, LG Manoj Sinha met the victims’ families as well as local leaders to express his condolences.
On Monday, the J&K administration announced an ex gratia of Rs 10 lakh to each of those killed Sunday— Pritam Sharma, 56, his 33-year-old son Ashish Kumar, Deepak Kumar, 23, a PHE employee, and Sheetal Kumar, 48. A government job will also be given to the next of kin of each of the four victims.
LG Manoj Sinha condemned the “cowardly terror attack” and announced best possible medical treatment as well as Rs 1 lakh to each of the wounded: Pawan Kumar, Saroj Bala, her 17-year-old daughter Arushi Sharma, Sushil Kumar, Rohit Pandit and Shubam Sharma, 20.
In all, six died and 15 were wounded in a little over 12 hours, comparable to some of the most gruesome killings recorded in J&K during the peak of separatist insurgency in the 1990s.
