Rek teachers stage protest, hold funeral March with Drum beats in Jammu.
Jammu, January 01, 2023: Scores of ‘Rehbar-e-Khel’ Teachers on Sunday staged an agitation and took out a funeral march in favour of their demands in Jammu.
The agitators were seen chanting ‘Ram Ka Naam Satya Hai’ (Lord Ram’s name is the truth) and holding a charpoy on their shoulders with a dummy pyre on it they were carrying out the protest against the local regime demanding reduction of probation period from (7 to 5) years, enchancement in salaries and cancellation of order (GAD-/1/2021-02(13125) to deliever justice to them.
According to the report, under the banner of ‘Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Khel Teachers Association’, the protestors were holding a banner to remind Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha promises, which he committed with their delegation at Raj Bhavan earlier in the month of may.
The agitators promised to intensify their protest in the coming days, if their demands are not addressed on time by the local govt.
