Kathua, December 28, 2022: Several members of ‘J&K Khalsa Dal’ on yesterday organised a Milk Langer near GMC Kathua for the local people commemorating the martyrdom of Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri, the mother of Guru Gobind Singh.
Speaking to the media, one of the members of ‘J&K Khalsa Dal’ said that they organised this Milk langar remembering the martyrdom of Four Sahibzadas and Mata Gujri. Adding he said, “When Guru Gobind Singh Ji reached Sarayu river vacating their Anandpur Fort following the attack by the Mughals, his family scattered there. When their fort was besieged by the army of Wazir Khan at Chamkaur who was ready with his army of 10 lakhs and then Guru Gobind Singh Ji sent his elder sons Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh to the battlefield, where they were martyred and on the other hand Sahibzadas Zorawar Singh and his younger brother Fateh Singh got captured with their grandmother Mata Gujari, by the help of their servant Gangu”.

“They were imprisoned with their grandmother and put to death by Mughals on the orders of Aurangzeb, who attempted to suffocate them ​inside a brick enclosure”, he said.
From a week, this milk langar has been going on near GMC in Kathua conducted by J&K Khalsa Dal.
