Jammu, December 27, 2022: Several members of ‘All Jammu Based Reserve Category Employees Association’ held an agitation at Panama Chowk in Ambedkar Park, Jammu on Tuesday demanding a suitable comprehensive transfer policy for themselves to Jammu region from Kashmir valley.
Talking to the media one of the agitators allegedly said that its been seven months since they are agitating for their concerns in Jammu and they have been made to sit on the road by their representatives which they have sent in the parliament to work for them. Adding she said, “We are compelled by the local regime to sit on roads for our issues and its been months since we are protesting here. The recent statement given by LG sir that “No salary for sitting at home” on our plight is unfortunate and below the belt, as first he himself drafted a committee for our grievances and now he is saying such remarks, which is really unfortunate”.

She further said that the LG sir has not given them breathing period and it is them who have given him, so that the Amarnath Yatra could conclude successfully without any obstacle in Kashmir.
“We have been sitting on dharnas and not in our homes. I call upon our local people the ‘Dogras’ to see what the local administration is doing with us and they are witnessing everything keenly. The present regime should win our hearts and everyone sitting in power believes in Ram Rajya and Hindu Rashtra, but they have forgotten that Lord Ram never lied in his life to people. We still hope that they will do something for us. Mr Ravinder Raina and Devender Raina sir told us that they are our lawyers and they have been discussing our matter with LG sir from the begining and have assured us that they will make a comprehensive transfer policy for us”, she said.
Moreover, she said that they believe the local administration will draft a transfer policy for them as a new year gift.
Another protestor said that a person who is in such high position as of an Lieutenant Governor should think before speak as their every word carries such worth that it could forge public opinion.
“Our sister Mrs Rajni Bala was killed by terrorists in Kashmir and our protest which has been going on from several months is not a joke. Our life and future is at risk in Kashmir and so as of our representatives, who are nothing without our votes.
