Jammu, December 22: The Lakhanpur police foiled a bovine smuggling on Jammu-Punjab border in Kathua, Jammu in which they rescued dozen of bovines stuffed into an oil tank, which bore the name of ‘Hindustan Petroleum Corporation’ on it, today.
As per the report, the Lakhanpur police team acting on specific inputs which they got from reliable sources laid a police naka on Jammu-Punjab Border in Lakhanpur and during the vehicle inspection they rescued several cattles from an oil tanker there.

The oil tanker was heading towards Kashmir from Punjab concealing the bovines in it and was intercepted by the Lakhanpur police team.
The accused has been arrested by the police.
