Samba, December 10, 2022: Acting tough against the bovine smugglers the Samba police foiled bovine smuggling in Nadh area of Samba, Jammu on Saturday with the arrest of two smugglers and rescued 10 bovine animals.
According to the report, the police working on a tip-off laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AF2527 on the Nadh road in Samba, which was coming from Kathua and heading towards Kashmir.

On checking the vehicle the Police teams found 10 Bovine animals concealed by a wall of cement putty in the truck. The police also found some injections in the vehicle which hints that the smugglers were taking drugs, the report said.
It has also been learned from the report that the culprits are residents of Banihal in Ramban, Jammu.
In this regard, the police has booked the accused persons under Section 188 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
