Farooq Abdullah was on Monday elected unopposed as the president of National Conference, reports said.
Quoting NC spokesperson, Imran Nabi Dar, a local news agency reported that the Srinagar Parliamentarian was elected unopposed in the presidential polls held at the Nawa-e-Subh party headquarters.
The polls were necessitated following Abdullah’s decision to step down as the party president.
