Rajouri, December 1, 2022: The Northern Command of Indian Army in association with Innovations India  organised the ‘Dil Mange More’  short film festival at ‘Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University’ in Rajouri, Jammu on Thursday.

Addressing the guests and the students during the event the host said that the event was oragnised to promote independent, talented and discerning filmmakers from Jammu and Kashmir, who crave to showcase their deftness and craft of filmmaking to the world via short films.

One of the guest said at the event that the winners would also be given an opportunity to be a part of renowned film production houses in Mumbai under the mentorship of acclaimed filmmakers, so that they could hone and nurture themselves.

Another dignitary  who was present on the occasion said that the idea of establishing  ‘Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University’ was conceived back in 2002 and the university became functional in 2005 offering five academic programs with hundred students. Adding he said, “the scenario has changed now as today the institution offers 62 different academic programs and has student strength approximately of 2500”.

Eminent filmmaker Rahat Kazmi and Tariq Khan were present on the occasion as panelists.

Earlier in November in Udhampur, Jammu a month-long first of its kind mega short film festival curated by Captain Rahul Bali was organised. It is an initiative of the Northern Command of the Indian Army in association with Innovations India for empowering the youth of J&K and Ladakh in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi reiterating the importance of activities for nation building.
