A fourteen-year-old girl in Bihar’s Kaimur district was allegedly abducted by a group of boys and was then raped by one of the boys on Saturday. They fled after being spotted by a primary school headmaster but instead of helping her, the headmaster also raped her, reported India Today.
According to the complaint, the incident took place when the girl stepped out to defecate. Four boys abducted her. They took her a short distance away to a secluded spot. One of the boys raped her and the others stood by and watched them, as per the survivor’s complaint.
The school headmaster, identified as Surendra Kumar Bhaskar, had spotted the four boys forcibly taking the girl away and had followed them at a distance. The boys fled when they saw him, as per the report.
The girl told the police that she thought the headmaster of a government-run primary school would save her. Instead, he raped her and left her bleeding in the bushes.
Police said a case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (Pocso) against the headmaster and boy. The girl was taken to a district hospital for treatment and medical examination. The girl’s statement will be recorded before a magistrate under section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
The headmaster was arrested while the boy is absconding and a search is underway to nab him, as per the report by India Today.
Bhabhua DSP Sunil Kumar said, “The remaining three boys will be booked if their names come to the fore, then action will be taken against them as well.”
