Major

The film which is based on the life of the soldier who died in the 2008 Mumbai attacks. The film ‘Major’, helmed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, centres on the life of Major Unnikrishnan, who was killed while defending Taj Hotel guests.

Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan was played by Adivi Sesh in the film. ‘Major’ was released in 2022.

Mumbai Diaries 26/11

One of the most intriguing series ‘Mumbai Diaries 26/11’, created by Nikkhil Advani and Nikhil Gonsalves, has its setting at a government hospital in Mumbai and explores how the medical community handles the 26/11 crisis while also coming under attack.

The series showcased the night of the most horrifying terrorist attack the city has ever seen.

Hotel Mumbai

Anthony Maras’s directorial action-thriller ‘Hotel Mumbai’ was released in India in 2019. It draws attention to the courage displayed by the hotel staff and security guards who risked their lives to save the helpless and traumatised victims in the terrifying occurrence. The film was inspired by the 2009 documentary ‘Surviving Mumbai’ on the 2008 Mumbai attacks at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in India.

While her parents were sightseeing in Mumbai, an 18-year-old French girl who is imprisoned and under attack in the hotel finds herself in the Taj Mahal. Nicolas Saada, who directed the movie, highlights the victim’s utter helplessness as her parents watch the tragic events take place outside the hotel’s premises and pray that their daughter escapes unharmed.

The Attacks Of 26/11

The ‘The Attacks Of 26/11’ film, directed by Ram Gopal Verma, depicted the true story of ten terrorists who travel to Mumbai and battle 72 hours of civil war against the locals. Additionally, it shows Ajmal Kasab, the sole terrorist, being detained before going to his doomsday. The film stars Nana Patekar, Asif Basra, Sanjeev Jaiswal and others. The film was released in 2013.
