Jammu, November 23, 2022: The Jammu Development Authority on Wednesday conducted an anti-encroachment drive in Bahu fort area of Jammu, in which many illegal structures were razed to clear space.
According to the report, the drive was conducted in heavy police presence at Bahu Fort to detain locals, incase anyone hinders the JDA drive.

A local resident allegedly said that when JDA issued them notices they didn’t said anything as they were in cooperation with them. He asked, ”what kind of development does JDA wanted to achieve here as razing people houses and snatching livelihood from them cannot be called development”.
“The JDA is just making a spectacle here of this drive as there was no need of bringing a bulldozer to demolish our stores because we were taking down our structures all by ourselves”, he said.
