India has beaten the blackcaps comprehensively in the second T20I at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui to take the lead in the three-match T20I series. Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly right from the start of their defence of 192 runs Bhuvneshwar Kumar swung the new ball and the spinners took wickets in the middle overs. Chahal bowled well dismissing the dangerous Glenn Philips and Jimmy Neesham. Sundar had a difficult outing after coming back from the injury. Despite picking up the wicket of Devon Conway the off-spinner went for 24 in his two. Deepak Hooda didn’t contribute with the bat but picked up four for 10 runs in his spell. He picked three wickets in the 19th over to close the innings out. Williamson scored a 50 he huffed and puffed throughout the innings nevertheless this may be the innings which may bring him back to form.
Earlier Suryakumar Yadav’s unbeaten 111(51 balls) guided India to put on 191 for 6 Suryakumar Yadav completed his second fifty in just 17 balls. Tim Southee (3/34) bagged his second International hat-trick in the last over.
