Three army men were killed and attained martyrdom after they were hit by an avalanche in the Machil sector in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district yesterday, police said.
The Kupwara police while terming the incident as an unfortunate incident, said that “three soldiers of 56 RR achieved martyrdom in the line of duty in Machhil area when they came under an avalanche”.
“All the bodies have been retrieved,” the police said.
