Three government officials died while another one was injured after a vehicle they were travelling in plunged into the river Chenab in Assar area of Doda district on Monday.
Quoting an official, a local media outlet reported that four officials of Road and Buildings (R&B) were onboard a vehicle when it skid off the road and plunged into the river Chenab near Assar.
He said that three officials including executive engineer, R&B, Doda, assistant executive engineer and driver died on the spot while superintending engineer was injured.
He added that the injured officer was evacuated to government medical college, Doda, where his condition was said to be critical.
