Kathua, November 11: In a shocking incident, an elderly lady was mysteriously found dead inside her house in Badoli area of Lakhanpur ,Kathua in Jammu on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as 70-year-old Masuma Devi resident of Badoli wife of Liaquat Ali.
As per the report, the incident took place when the deceased was in her house with her mentally retarded son, on whom local police and deceaseds neighbour have suspicion that he might have murdered her.
The police has taken the deceaseds body in their custody and have shifted it to GMC Kathua. They are still investigating the case and further details will be available after the probe.
Another son of the deceased who works in a local industry in Jammu told the media that today’s morning he left his house for work and at around 9:45am he was informed by the Sarpanch of his village, that his mother is no more and on hearing that he rushed to his house where he found his expired mother.
“My brother was in the house.He is mentally unstable from past 24-25 years and my neighbours are saying he was in the house when my mother died”, he said.
