In a tragic road incident, a youth died while his mother was seriously injured when their motorcycle was hit by a Tanker at Garnai Naka point on Udhampur National Highway.
The deceased has been identified as Ankush Sharma (21), son of Bansi Lal, resident of Gharrian Dhanas, at present Mand near Tikri. His mother, Sunita Devi (42), wife of Bansi Lal, sustained serious injuries in the accident and she was admitted to District Hospital Udhampur.The accident took place around 10:30 am when the Motorcycle bearing registration number JK14J-0239 was hit by Tanker (JK02AL-9042) at Garnai Naka point near Tikri.
Locals and police shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared Ankush Sharma as brought dead.
Police have registered a case in this connection and arrested driver of the truck.
