Kathua, October 26, 2022: A tragic incident has appeared in which a woman died in a road accident when she was coming to Kathua, Jammu from Kangra (Himachal Pradesh) to celebrate Bhai Dooj with her brother, today.
The accident took place on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway at Lakhanpur in Kathua, when the deceased was hit by a speeding bus when she was going on a scooty with her relative.

It has been reported that the bus crushed the woman under it and fled away from the spot of incident.
The deceased, Neelam Devi w/o Yudhvir Singh was married in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh state.
After the incident the victim was brought to Government Hospital and Medical College, Kathua where she was pronounced dead on arrival by the doctors there.
The bus has been seized by the Kathua police and a case has been registered against the driver under relevant sections of law.
