“The drummers who are invited here for the inaugural of the shopping complex should be sent back as there are chances that this can cause ruckus among local traders here because such big complexes will give a tough competition to them. The administration is saying that they have increased tourism in Jammu, but look at the train which is directly plying to Katra without  stopping anywhere in Jammu impacting the business of local shopkeepers”. he said.

A local resident remarked that the reliance showroom should be closed because it is targeting local small shopkeepers. He further said that the selling of beer in local departmental stores should be ban cause there are chances that its easy availability to the youngsters can spoil them as well as society in general.

“The present regime should intervene  so that reliance outlets should be stopped to open in Jammu so that the local whole-sellers and their employees can be saved, otherwise people will fiercely reject BJP here. Instead of snatching the work the govt is suppose to provide employment to people. I appeal the local govt to roll back this order of selling beer in shops”, he said.

A drummer  while talking to the media said that they were called by the owner of the reliance shopping complex to play drums on its opening ceremony and they will be given their labour whether they beat drums or not.
