The peaceful protest of ‘All Jammu Based Reserve Category Employees Association’ for suitable comprehensive transfer policy entered 137th day today.
The employees requested the LG Administration for redressal of their genuine demand of transfer policy. “The LG Administration had framed a six-member committee headed by Principal Secretary GAD to examine the transfer related issues and submit its report to Government in a time bound manner but we are unaware whether the committee has submitted its report or not as we have not got any fruitful result till date,” they added.
Leader of the protest, Vipen Kumar while speaking on the occasion, said that they are eagerly waiting for tweet of LG Manoj Sinha to give them their Deepawali gift in the form of suitable comprehensive transfer policy and end their long exile of 15 years. He further reiterated that one side Divisional Commissioner Kashmir issued an order of strict enforcement of biometric attendance of all employees, which he called a new tactic of Government for forcing minority employees to resume their duties, the series of target and selective killing has not stopped in Kashmir yet.
“If it is possible for the Divisional Administration to provide safety and security of every minority employee in Kashmir then only they can issue such orders,” Kumar said and appealed the Divisional Commissioner Kashmir to exempt Jammu based employees working in Kashmir from Biometric attendance compulsion.
He further added that our pious and prominent religious festival, Deepawali is approaching ahead and many of our employees of different departments are without salary for last four months. Kumar on behalf of all these helpless employees appealed the LG Administration to release their salaries before Deepawali.
