Jammu, October 7, 2022: Priyanka a specially-abled girl is the founder of “Priyanka Café” who runs her cafe with the assistance of elder brother Rajiv, located in Jammu’s Shastri Nagar near J&K bank. Her Café offers coffee, chai, ice-cream to its visitors.
Visitors are welcomed with gleeful and curious Priyanka who herself takes and prepare their orders in her cafe with exuberance.

Mr Avtar Singh Chain her father told the media that when they took her for medical check up to the doctor, he informed them that their daughter will not be able to hear & speak as she is specially-abled.
Adding he said, “Her development as a child was gradual and from some years she was attending Sahara school, but after corona outbreak that school was closed and since two years she was staying at home. She was sleeping and waking up late, and just some days ago she met one of her friend who is also running a restaurant. When she came back home she conveyed to us that she also want to open a restaurant like her, so we planned and helped her in setting up this cafe here”.
He further said that he is grateful to media who visited their daughter’s Cafe and now she is progressing in her business venture with the blessings of elders.
A visitor said that one should not give up in one’s life easily and should come and see how Priyanka is running this cafe here.
Rajiv Priyanka’s brother said, “She was feeling frustrated, but when we asked her that we will help her in this initiative, she became very happy and started putting effort in her idea. Now, as she understands that she has a responsibility she is sleeping on-time and also rising up early in the morning to open the cafe”.
He further said that her sister is now operating the cafe herself with his less assistance.
“She is very elated and happy now, she likes to watch ‘Bigg Boss’ but these days she can’t catch up with the show as working here is tiresome”, he said.
