Jammu, October 2, 2022: TheĀ  Archaeological Survey of India Srinagar on Sunday inaugurated the Swachhata Abhiyan Special Campaign 2.0 on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti at the historical venue of Remains of Ancient Site, Ambaran in Akhnoor, Jammu under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) program.

The celebrations are part of the Ministry of Culture initiative that has started from 2nd October and conclude on 31st October 2022. ASI Srinagar on the occasion collaborated with Rotary club, Akhnoor and International Delhi Public School, Akhnoor for the mega cleanliness campaign on 2nd October.

The Archaeological Survey of India has also selected 03 monuments as part of the celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM) in ASI Srinagar Circle and special cleanliness drive will be held during the campaign 2.0.

The programme was held under the supervision of Dr. Izhar Alam Hashmi, Superintending Archaeologist, ASI Srinagar, Dr. Hashmi also has extended greeting on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and International day of Nonviolence and appealed to the people for following the ideals of Gandhiji.
