Jammu, October 2, 2022: A woman thief, stealing jewellery of a devotee from her neck, has been caught on the CCTV camera installed at Bawe Wali Mata Temple, Bahu fort, Jammu.
On September 28, a woman devotee had come to the temple and was standing in the queue to have darshan of the Goddess inside the Temple. As there was heavy rush, people were moving slowly and the thief, who was standing behind the devotee, used the opportunity and tried to steal the gold chain of another devotee from her neck by sticking right behind her in the queue, as per the report.

But her attempt went futile when the woman devotee catch the chain which dropped in her hand, when the woman thief was attempting to remove it from her neck.
The whole incident has been captured on the CCTV camera installed inside the temple in Bahu Fort, Jammu and the woman has been arrested.
These days there is heavy rush of devotees who are visiting Mata Vaishno Devi and Bawe Wali Mata temple and there are thieves also there who are also coming to these holy shrines, we advised the devotees to be alert and save themselves from such burglars, the report said.
