Jammu Police arrested a narcotics smuggler along with half kg of charas under the jurisdiction of Domana Police Station .
“During routine checking at Naka Point Domana in the outskirts of the city, one alto car bearing registration number JK14B7106 coming from Jammu towards Akhnoor was signaled to halt. However, instead of stopping, the driver tried to run away from the spot by speeding-up the vehicle. He was chased and subsequently and arrested by the cops on duty,” said officials.
Police said, “After conducting a search of the vehicle, half Kg of Charas was recovered from his possession.”
The accused disclosed his identity as Rishu Davgotra, a resident of Sangrampur in Marh of district Jammu, police added.
A case vide FIR No 334 /2022 has been registered at P/S Domana and links of drug consignment are being investigated.
