Skipper Rohit Sharma had lost his cool against wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik in the first T20I loss against Australia in Mohali. The video of Rohit Sharma shouting at Karthik and even hilariously strangling him had gone viral on social media after the Mohali match.

Karthik, however, repaid his captain’s faith in him as a finisher – smashing a six and four in the second T20I to help India level the series.

And in the final T20I at Hyderabad on Sunday, Rohit kissed Karthik’s helmet after the runout of Glenn Maxwell. But the icing on the cake happened after India beat Australia in the final game to clinch the series 2-1. In a heart-warming gesture, Rohit handed the winning trophy to Karthik ahead of the team photo.
