Jammu, 22 Sept: The PHE daily wagers on Thursday staged a massive agitation outside BJP office at Trikuta in Jammu and asked the government to release their pending salaries and regularize them on immediate basis.
The dissenting voices allege that the LT govt only gives them verbal assurances and had done nothing for them in reality.

“From last three months we are agitating for our issues here and during the corona pandemic we were named as ‘corona warriors’ by PM Modi, but today the govt has relegated us they are not resolving our issues. When we come on the roads to express our demands the administration hits us with batons”, one of the vexed protestors allegedly said.
Another protestor said that the SRO-64 should be implemented with immediate effect for the dissenting PHE daily wagers of Jammu.
“The govt earlier said that they are going to implement minimum daily wages act for us, but they have done nothing for that. The local regime is deceiving us and we don’t want to hear their excuses. We won’t stop our protests till we are not made permanent employees by the govt. We can’t compromise our demands”, he said.
