Jammu, 29 August: Today, Reasi forest division under the supervision of CF West Rajouri Vivek Verma and DFO Reasi Jyotsana organised plantation rally for creating awareness and ensuring at least one plant in each house.
As per the report, The rally was attended by the officers of katra administration SDM Katra Angrez Singh , ,SP Katra Amit Bhasin ,DDC Panthal Rajinder Mengi , DDC Katra Nirmala Devi and PRI members and many school students of Govt. middle school Kunderdhan (Reasi) ,Girls High School Katra and Boys Middle School Katra.
While passing through the market and residential areas, plants were distributed in shops and planted in the adjoining houses and along with that the people were made aware about the importance of trees and forests using the traditional music in background.
It has been reported that it is an effort of forest department to attract people residing in urban areas towards plantation and forest conservation and to make Reasi a green district.
