Jammu, August 26, 2022: A horrible road accident occurred today at the railway route, Govindsar in Kathua, Jammu in which several people sustained injuries.
The horrible accident appeared when a speedy truck came amok in the congested railway route mowing down six vehicles and hitting seven people on the railway road.
While all the wounded people with the help of local people and the police were rushed to the nearest GMC Kathua for the treatment, from the scene of accident.

An anguished eye witness of the incident Mr Satpal told the media that the local people have been complaining about the illegal encroachment on this road by the vendors or all other people who park their vehicles and also those who have constructed some illegal structures near this road, which culminated in the congestion of this road and today which is further the sole reason of such horrible accidents which are happening here.
He further said that on a personal level he himself from last 25yrs is writing complains to the concerned departments, so that their officals should come here to further wide the road after measuring its space and also should take action against the encroachers.
“We have written grievances regarding these road accidents to local police officials, District Commissioner, JMC and we are also going to inform about this incident to LG sir and then we will see what they will do”, Mr Satpal added.
