Jammu, August 26,2022: A man is arrested by the local police from Roop Nagar in Jammu for carrying drugs on Friday.
As per the report, The incident occurred when an unidentified person coming from Janipur side towards bantalab , Jammu on his scooty bearing reg no. Jk19A-0995 was signaled to stop the vehicle by the deployed police posse at the Roop nagar checkpoint, but as soon as he was asked to stop the vehicle for the check , he accelerated his scooty’s speed and attempted to flee away from the police, on which the alert police officials there overpowered him.
During questioning the person disclosed his name as Adil Hamid Bhat S/O Abdul Hameed Bhat R/O Ashar, Banihal and when he was searched by police they recovered 14 gms of heroin like substance from his possession.
On this case, a FIR under NDPS Act has been registered at the Roop Nagar police station, while further investigation of this case is still going on.
