“We want to warn the local administration if they don’t accept our demands we will hold a massive demonstration here, we will block highways, we will dump heap of garbage across the city and we will not discharge our duties as we use to if our demands are not meted out”, one of the protestors said.

Moreover he said that when the country especially Jammu hit by the corona pandemic we use to leave our kids at home to perform our duties  and our families use to ask us whether we will return back or not as the situation was much alarming during the earlier phase of  outbreak, but now the govt has introduced new forms of hurdles for us like SRO-135 which demands educated safai karamcharis and also the digital attendance system in the offices is again a new problem for the sanitation workers because we are not suppose to  visit the offices regularly as their work is only ground based.

During the corona outbreak the govt tagged us as corona warriors and the people use to shower flower on us but back at home our kids use to suffer harshly for basic facilities such as food, water, etcetera, that is why we seek regularization on urgent basis from the local administration or the repercussions  of our protests will be adverse for the govt.
