Kashmir, 16 August: An old Mortar Shell was destroyed by JKP & 29 RR in the area of Chak Behrampora. The shell was initially spotted by a local villager who informed 29 RR Nihalpora Camp. The shell was destroyed as per procedure & no loss of life or property was reported.
The timely identification and destruction of the old shell prevented a possible future disaster.
