Jammu, 11 August: A Central University Jammu student swept away while crossing the flooded road on his bike in Raya area of Jammu, today.
It has been said that the local residents warned the student to avoid crossing the flooded road as it is waterlogged due to heavy rains, but he ignored their advise and while crossing the road he lost the control over his bike and swept away in the flood, the report said.

Later the local residents informed the police and SDRF who sent their teams on the place of the incident to launch a rescue and search operation, while the victim’s bike bearing registration no’ JK62AT9966 has been found out by them, but his whereabouts is still missing, the report added.
A search operation is still going to locate the victim, while further details on the incident are still awaited.
