Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the Congress announced on Wednesday that she had tested positive for Covid once more and would be isolated at home following all the protocols.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Rajasthan’s Alwar was cancelled after he suffered illness, the sources confirmed on Wednesday.

He was scheduled to attend the party’s ‘Netratav Sankalp Shivir’ there.

Earlier the congress leader had tested positive for COVID-19 in June last year.

“Tested positive for covid (again!) today. Will be isolating at home and following all protocols,” Priyanka Gandhi tweeted.

Congress MP Abhishek Manu Singhvi and department director of communications Pawan Khera are among the leaders who also had contracted Covid.

Sonia Gandhi, the party’s chief, had also tested positive for Covid at the beginning of June.

Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha and a prominent member of the Congress, also revealed on Tuesday night that he had tested positive for Covid.

“I have tested positive for #COVID19. I request those who came in contact with me recently to take care,” Kharge tweeted.
