Jammu, 8 August: Ahead of the commencement of nation-wide recruitment rallies planned under the new Agnipath scheme, Indian Army, in collaboration with Miran Sahib Brigade organised a Youth Awareness Program at Sattowali Village in R.S Pura, Jammu today.

According to the report, the event was aimed at educating the local youth on the benefits of joining the Indian Armed Forces through the new scheme and to explain them the entitlements as well as the terms of service of Agniveers joining through this scheme while the event turned out to be a grand success where more than 300 youth attended it  and showed their enthusiasm towards joining the Forces  during the event .

The initiative taken by the Army was highly appreciated, fostering a positive image while the  Army authorities said that they would continue to engage with the youngsters to spread the awareness on the Agnipath Scheme in the coming weeks, the report said.
