JAMMU, 7 August: A free medical check-up camp was today organzied by Dr. Sushil Sharma HoD Cardiology Super Speciality Hospital (SSH) in collaboration with All Jammu and Kashmir Disable Welfare Trust (Regd.) at Akhnoor. The camp was organised under the chairmanship Sushil Kumar Sharma Chairman All J&K Disable Welfare Trust. SSP Mohan Lal bhagat (JKPS) Deputy Director SKPA was specially present during the camp.

More than 100 patients including women and elderly people visited the camp for check up and treatment thereof. Free medicines besides tests including ECG, Blood Sugar etc were also conducted at the camp.

Further Dr. Sharma stressed upon the preventive aspect of cardiac diseases. In this regard people in general are advised to adopt a healthy lifestyle which includes regular walk and physical activities. Obesity is another factor for which people should be aware because it is a precursor for a large number of diseases itself. Further smoking which is very harmful for all vital organs should be shunned. In addition to this uncontrolled blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes, hyperlipidemia should be checked and appropriate measures should be taken for their control.

SSP Mohan Lal Bhagat appreciated Dr Sushil Sharma and for their services he also congratulated Sushil Kumar Sharma for organising such free medical camp in which hundreds of people availed benefits.

Dr Sushil Sharma was accompanied by Dr Nasir Ali Choudhary (Cardiologist), Dr Daneshwar Kapoor, Kamal, Sharma, Raghav Rajput, Raj Kumar, Maqsood Ahmed, Harinder Singh, Aman Gupta and Akshay.

Prominent who were present on the occasion included Sham Lal President All J&K Disable Welfare Trust, Reeta Devi, Paashi Sha, Allaha Rakha, Geeta Devi, Vinod Kumar, Pawan kumar etc.
